5 Weeks to go

After lots of smaller trips it has finally come the time to start planning for a longer trip to the Red Centre in June and July 2014. So to keep a record of this adventure I have started another blog.















As Kathy and the kids wont have enough leave I have managed to get a pass to spend a bit extra travelling.  This has worked out well with the trip broken in to 4 bits:

1. The fist couple of weeks I travel my self then meet up with my Aunt and Uncle as we head through the back of the Flinders Ranges, up the Oodnadatta track then the old Ghan track to Alice Springs.
2. Kathy and the kids fly in to Alice and we then head through the West McDonald Ranges
3. Then our good Friends Karen, Graham and kids join us for the trip to Kings Canyon, Uluru, then up to Kakadu and Litchfield NP.
4. all the kids and better halves fly out of Darwin leaving me and Graham to head across the Savanah Way then down to Lawn Hill NP, Mt Isa, Birdsville, then back home.

So this is the rough itinery so far
